Catsup Stains (1406)

If catsup spills onto a garment that is labeled dry-clean only, gently scrape off excess. Blot with clean white cloth or paper towel. Take to the dry cleaners as soon as possible and point out the type of stain.

If the garment that is stained with catsup is washable, again gently scrape off excess. Sponge with cool water or let soak for approximately 30 minutes in cool water. Sponge with dry-cleaning solvent or use pre-wash spray. Rinse with water. Apply a paste of powdered detergent and water; launder. If using liquid detergent, let item air-dry completely, then apply liquid detergent to dry fabric. Launder as usual.

If the stain remains, soak 30 minutes in enzyme presoak. Rinse and launder.

Try to remove the stain as quickly as possible. The longer it sets, the harder it is to remove.
