Poinsettias - Reflowering
The “bloom” on your poinsettia consists of modified leaves called “bracts” that redden. The tiny yellow parts in the middle of the bracts are the actual blooms. Nonetheless, poinsettias are wonderful plants to brighten winter days and can be kept going well into the late winter. It, of course, is possible to work with your poinsettia to encourage “bloom” again next winter. However, remember that these plants have come to us from ideal nursery growing conditions when we receive them.
